A Random Org Rant

Wow. Someone's reimbursing 300 pesos from the org fund just for the PC rental fees.

...And trying to approximate things:

The PC rent costs 25 pesos per hour, and there were three pages printed, filled with more or less 110 names, 110 addresses and 110 e-mail addresses. Let's just say there would be approximately 4 words in a name with 7 letters per word, 10 words in an address with 7 letters per word and well, 20 letters in an e-mail address. If we try to compute all the letters there would be... 12980 letters.

Creating a 6-page website (especially if the content and pictures are copy-pasted, and most of the pages don't have much content anyway, see for yourself: the official org website *kuno*) can take 3 hours, but let's give a two-hour consideration for the uploading and maybe, if we consider that the webmaster is still a beginner. Creating a 5-minute montage video with a preset theme takes at least a hour, and maybe let's give some considerations, so let's give another hour . So that's 7 hours.

Printing costs 2 pesos per page. So that's 6 pesos, and that would leave 11 hours, 45 minutes and 36 seconds from the 294 pesos. Subtract the 7 hours from that, leaving 4 hours, 45 minutes and 36 seconds. Now to compute how slow, errr, fast a person could type 12980 letters within 4 hours, 45 minutes and 36 seconds:

12980 letters/(4 hours * 3600 seconds per hour + 45 minutes * 60 seconds per minute + 36 seconds) = 0.88 letter per second, meaning it'd take a second and another fraction of a second to type a single letter.

Astonishing, eh? Even an old man can beat this person in terms of typing speed.

Computations aside, it's impossible to use 300 pesos for a 12-hour PC rent just for typing 3-page name + address list and creating a website full of copy-pasted stuff and a 5-minute montage video using an easy-to-use video editor unless if the person who does this would still download a 1 1/2-hour movie via p2p/torrent while sitting down and visiting Friendster/looking for porn/checking an online dating account/chatting.

For one thing, this may sound overreacting, but if anyone in a certain org who'd do this, including the auditor and/or the treasurer of that org would win a position in the government, only miracles can help the people from being saved from poverty.

Hahaha, call this a backstabbing entry. XD
